The Muddy River Band blends classic country with Métis soul, drawing on fiddle driven rhythms, heartfelt storytelling, and the rich cultural roots of the Canadian prairies. Our sound is raw, honest, with a twist of southern rock and a whole lot of heart.
Jeff St.Germain is a two-spirit Métis singer and songwriter, and the voice behind The Muddy River Band. A proud descendant of Canadian music legend Ray St.Germain, Jeff carries on the tradition of storytelling through song, blending country roots with a modern perspective and a deep connection to community, culture, and identity.
Jay Tooke is a multi-instrumentalist, producer, and all-around musical force. He’s spent years behind the scenes and on stage, working with some of Canada’s best, including Joey Landreth, The Sheepdogs, and Jess Moskaluke. Jay brings his deep love of roots music, sharp ears, and personal touch to every song. Whether he’s behind the drum kit or behind the board, Jay’s heart is always in the music.
